  : It is a bit noisy outside at night due to the nightlife. It was not a problem for us as it was cool enough to keep our windows closed at night.

  : The location is good, be aware that the street is very noisy at the evening because of parties. The good thing is though, that the windows are great at blocking noise and with them closed you don't feel it at all (there's an air conditioner). If you prefer windows open at night it may not be the place for you. They let us check-out an hour late.
  : The property isn't in good shape like shown in the pictures. The doors in the apartment don't close properly (including the bathroom door). The washing machine didn't work and we didn't get offered a solution other than trying to fix it ourselves (we tried and it still didn't work) and to go to a local laundry shop. Only after I wrote an email to the company they agreed to pay us back for the laundry. There are a lot of steep stairs to get to the apartment.

  : Good price. A number of restaurants near by
  : For most older renters the 45 steps are steep and could be challenging. Know that on the weekend there are a number of restaurants near by and it can get loud. Checking in would have been easier with someone physically there though Laura was helpful with the internet and heating issues.

  : The apartment was central and clean and comfortable.
  : Make sure you know this is right in the party district. While the windows were excellent quality and blocked out.most of the noise, nothing could have completely blocked all the screaming people all night long.Could have used.more toilet paper, we barely made it though our 4 nights.

  : The location was excellent - bakeries and mini marts close by, reasonable walk to many major attractions as well as to public transport (buses, trams and metro). There were larger supermarkets not so far away (LIDL and Continente), which we certainly would have used if we had stayed more than a week. The kitchen was quite small but adequate. The fridge was large and new. The 2nd bedroom is a great place for a couple to store suitcases etc. The unit conversion, and also the staircase up to the 3rd floor unit, has a lot of character, with exposed wooden structure. The bathroom is small but modern and adequate. For a one or two week stay this unit and location is perfect. The representative from the management company was excellent in all respects. She met us on time at the entrance to the building, gave us a good introduction to the unit and kept us fully informed with progress resolving use of a PIN code to gain access at the ground floor. With the windows and shutters closed, the unit is quite well insulated from the street level noise of this fairly busy tourist area (lots of bars and restaurants in nearby streets).
  : We used the Metro to travel from the airport to the nearest Metro station (Rossio) - walking to the unit from Rossio was a serious struggle for us, given we are not so young anymore. We had a carry on bag each as well as a large checkin bag (total over 45kg) and had not been given any idea prior to arrival that walking to the unit would require ascending many, many, many steps! This could have been explained, and the best route to take suggested, in pre arrival communication. I was able to plan a longer but much more manageable route for walking down to the Metro on the day of our departure. Another big challenge is getting luggage up and down the internal stairs going up to this 3rd level unit. We were aware there were stairs, both from the owner as well as online comments of previous renters. However, I was still surprised by how steep and narrow the stairs were. Manageable with luggage if you just take your time (my 23kg bag was one step at a time). However, I would not suggest this unit if you have any mobility challenges. The guest folder was missing a lot of essential information - in particular, the names and locations of good mini marts, good supermarkets, bakeries etc. Also relevant public transport options. I appreciate most everyone these days has Google Maps and access to online blogs, but nothing beats a good printed set of information that is specific to the unit being rented. Disposing of garbage was also unclear, despite instructions in the guest folder. The bins relevant to the unit did not seem to be where they were supposed to be, so we had to use random bins that probably belonged to other units or businesses. Also, the relevant recycling sorting requirements were not explained, nor the meaning of the different names on the bins. The couch needs to be replaced with a firmer and higher one, to make sitting on it and using the one living/dining table easier. The sharp edge of the step into the bathroom needs to be rounded.
